The Winter Deaflympics 2027 will place Tirol in the international spotlight as a cosmopolitan sporting region. The Games will provide a significant boost to tourism by bringing international guests, media representatives and sports delegations to Tirol, whilst at the same time impressively demonstrating the unifying power that sport can unleash. As a responsible host region for people with a wide variety of needs and circumstances, Tirol has already implemented numerous measures in the areas of social sustainability and accessibility in recent years. At the same time, we recognise that the ongoing development of an inclusive tourism offering and an event environment that is as accessible as possible is an ongoing process that must continue to be consistently developed in the future. 

We are delighted to be part of the Winter Deaflympics’ return to Tirol, where they were first held back in 1949, and to contribute, together with partners from sport, tourism, politics and business, to the successful staging of this significant sporting event.
